Steppin’ Out!

It’s a big week here at Wisconsin’s Hardest Trivia Global Headquarters, Rap Emporium and Pick-Your-Own Briar Patch as we’re gearing up for our first live show in what feels like a decade.

We’re all going through our own prep sessions. Anjali is currently pacing around the office and practicing her standard statement, “One more step and I’m going to poke you in the throat with this shovel, asshole. Six feet. Respect it.” I want to suggest maybe just leaving the shovel at home, but I’ve seen these trivia teams. I get it. I also really like the idea of Anjali in an updated, mask-on version of American Gothic.

According to Nick, he’s very concerned about his legs working because he claims he hasn’t left his desk since March 17, when a leprechaun put a curse on him. I reminded him that curses are the work of my people, not some short dude holding a green bud light and wearing a possibly vomited on, “Fuck me. I’m Irish.” tee shirt.

As for me, I think I’m all set to go. I’ve got a few crews ready to carry my palanquin, with me looking like Brando in the Island of Doctor Moreau, riding on top, demanding that they shuffle closer to Company Brewing so I get that wifi on full blast.

This is 100 percent going to be a strange event. And I cannot blame any team that isn’t comfortable attending in person. If you do show up, wear your mask. Give everyone space. Wash your hands.

The live show is $10 for each player or $50 for a team of six.

We’re going to try to run the online show as well, and I think we can make that happen. If you’re playing online register in the standard style.

  1. Drop your registration fee on paypal.me/SlashGreg. There is no set registration fee, but half goes to the winning team’s chosen cause or charity and the other half helps keep the lights on at Wisconsin’s Hardest Trivia Global Headquarters.
  2. We’re still backing the businesses which have always backed us. If you make a purchase from Company Brewing in Milwaukee or Glass Nickel Pizza between September 24 and September 30. Send some sort of proof of purchase to greg@wisconsinshardesttrivia.com and your team is registered.
  3. Pick a strong team name, and then build an even stronger team.
  4. Tune in Wednesday at 7pm on https://www.twitch.tv/wisconsinshardesttrivia and get your brain scrambled.

If you have any questions, reach out to nick@wisconsinshardesttrivia.com or me. Stay safe. See you soon.
