Day of the Deads

Well Players, here we are. We’ve made it through the bleakest of Halloweens which had three children each fire a round from the self-serve candy cannon I mounted on the top of my neighbor’s Ford Fusion. This also means I’m still sitting on 15 pounds of Sour Patch Kids. So I’m into those for every meal now. I just dropped 10 of those little packets in a bowl, covered them with milk and called it cereal. It was not so good.

Then, of course yesterday was St. Mahtman’s Day, and the whole family was excited. Just before dark we set our french rolls outside. 20 minutes later we heard a fluttering outside and we ran to the window to catch a glimpse. Sure, we missed St. Mahtman but you know there were a few hot beefs and ramekins of au jus waiting on the stoop.

And then we moved straight into Dia de los Muertos. Which was a little more low key. But I did find some joy in the moment when my daughter asked whose picture was next to Grampa on the offrenda. “That”, I replied “That is the Milwaukee Tunnelsnakes. See there’s Auntie Leslie and Uncle Chip-Chips.”

“Are they dead?” She asked.

“As good as.” I told her. “They’re not coming back. Certainly not in this round of league play.”

And now we’ve got a whole lifetime to live before Wednesday Night’s matchup. If anyone can focus on trivia, that should be enough time for some of the Milwaukee teams to step it up. Maybe they set aside some time to study Fictional Boats. They need to, because at the rate we’re going, this league is going to have an all Madison Podium. And I’m okay with that. But Nick’s not going to be pissed.”

So Milwaukee teams, if you’re looking to start a comeback. Now is the time to do it. Actually Wednesday night at 7pm central is the time to do it. And this is how you get in the mix:

  1. Registering for Wisconsin’s Hardest Trivia will be $10/player, or $50/team of six players. Teams can still play with more than six players, but will be docked 10 points for each additional player. Drop your payments on paypal.me/SlashGreg.
  2. Once your team has registered, you’ll get the password to the Zoomiary.
  3. Be sure your teammates know your team name before the game starts, this will allow us to put you on the right team.
  4. Finally, if you have any questions, drop an email on Nick@wisconsinshardesttrivia.com, Anjali@wisconsinshardesttrivia.com or Greg@wisconsinshardesttrivia.com and we’ll get you in the mix.

Also, vote if you haven’t already.
